We help our clients develop brands that mean something to their audience.
approach heading

[wp] is a brand agency. We look at your company from the inside out. We find what your best customers think about you. We help you foster that feeling so that you think that about yourself. And we help you figure out the best, most meaningful ways to deliver that feeling to the masses. The result? You'll find that you're sending that message with every thing that you do. Every ad, postcard, website, email, blog comment, speech, or lunch meeting is another opportunity to connect with your audience.

We believe that in order to create something unique, you have to work hard.

Creating unique businesses is no different. Branding is hard work and takes dedication from all parties involved to get it right. But once it's right, you know it's right because you're no longer focusing on your "talk track" or "elevator speech," you're just having honest conversations with real people. Your customers know it's right and can feel the difference. And your bottom line knows it's right because it suddenly needs a bigger belt.

We believe that branding is transformational – it excites, attracts, converts, and inspires.

Branding moves people. It elicits emotional responses that are a mixture of the unique characteristics that make up who you are as a company. So whether you want your customers to know that you're serious, hopeful, funny, or even dreadfully boring yet dead-on precise, you convey it through branding.

We believe that when it comes to business, zealotry is a good thing.

Good brands have believers, and yours should too. Brand believers are people with the fervent belief that no one else on the planet can deliver a service or create a product that is anywhere close to the quality of your brand. Brand believers are walking megaphones, telling everyone they know how great you are. And brand believers are more than happy to support you because you have provided them with something that makes them feel great. For you and for them, it's only the Age of Aquarius. No big deal, really.

We believe that a services list is a necessary evil that is never sufficient.

We tend to take an all-encompassing approach to our projects, and it's based on the fundamental fact that non-consistent branding isn't branding at all. But sometimes prospective clients want a list of the nuts and bolts, the tasks, the bottom line. So we're happy to provide one:

  • Comprehensive Branding Initiatives
  • Brand Strategy Consultation
  • Viral Marketing
  • Naming Strategy
  • Identity Development
  • Print Design
  • Website Development / Usability Design
  • Advertising Design

And if what you want is not on the list but you think it might be branding related, ask us. We might say yes.

OUR TEAM

Firmly believing in the force of creative collaboration, we ensure that our team is comprised of the best talent in the industry. As our daily job is to constantly enter into other people’s realities, we put our observation mantra to work in the belief that the experiences of those who join our team must be as far-reaching as their creative ideas.

Each individual on our team has had measured success in other areas outside of the world of design. Musicians and painters, writers and sculptors, athletes and businesspeople - we believe that what differentiates us is the diversity of our backgrounds, and we know that with every decision we make, a bevy of experience exists at its foundation.

THE PLATFORM

[whitepenny] began in 2003, and in recent years we've seen opportunity for growth in other directions – into arenas that have common threads but need their own brand message and strategy. We formed 1943 as a way for us to begin to make sense out of how these various entities speak to each other. It gives us an opportunity to expand into areas that are somewhat outside of [wp]'s mission (like Onethings, our forum dedicated to all of the things that businesses do right). We're always on the lookout for new ideas – if you have any, we'd love to hear them.
